Led by graduates Micaela Rossi and Axel Weissel, this project aims to survey the material transformations of the city of Gualeguaychú in the post-Hispanic period and in the process of modernization of the city and its surroundings, located in the southeast of the province of Entre Ríos, Argentina.
Based on the research, the project proposes to reflect the modern daily life of the 19th century, which constitutes one of the foundations of meaning for the social structures of the present.
The dynamics of this project also involve designing calls for young professionals based on current research issues. The objective of these calls is to expand the project and reach a greater number and diversity of professionals throughout the country. In a second phase, the process of cataloging and editing the records of these experiences will produce publications and other dissemination materials.
The project is carried out in collaboration with Arqueoterra Limitada, Museo Almeida, Fundación de Historia Natural “Félix de Azara” and the Secretariat of Culture of Entre Ríos.
